This policy describes how CFI Hours ("the app") handles your information. The app is built for certified flight instructors to log hours, track duty and compliance, and view scheduling and weather data.
What the app stores
The app stores the flight, simulator, briefing, and duty data you enter, along with your preferences. This data is kept on your device and synced across your devices through Apple's iCloud using CloudKit, tied to your personal Apple ID. The developer does not have access to your iCloud-synced data.
Backend services
The app connects to a backend service to deliver certain features:
- Weather data (METAR and TAF) used in forecast and compliance views.
- Scheduling information surfaced in the app.
- Push notifications delivered through Apple Push Notification service (APNs).
These requests transmit only the minimum data needed to return the relevant result. The app does not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Analytics and tracking
The app does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Data you control
You can delete your logged entries within the app at any time. Removing the app and clearing its iCloud data through your device settings deletes the data associated with it.
Age
The app is suitable for all ages.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
